The sand-water separator is the supporting equipment of the grit removal system, which is composed of a feeding sedimentation hopper, a screw shaft, a spiral groove, a support frame and a driving device. After the sand-water mixture enters the feeding sedimentation hopper, it settles through the inclined plate, the water is discharged from the overflow trough, and the screw shaft lifts the sedimented sand from the water out of the water and discharges it. It is mainly used to separate sand and water from the sand-water mixture discharged from grit tanks in urban sewage treatment or industrial wastewater treatment.

The sand water separator is suitable for industrial and mining enterprises and urban water supply treatment equipment that require the turbidity of the filtered water to be generally within 5 mg/L and meet the drinking water quality standards. The agglomerated flakes of suspended solids contained in the water cannot be removed by sedimentation. The water can pass through the filter layer installed in the pressure filter to make the water transparent.
